The Christmas Bus
Originally uploaded by staubio.
I'd seen it pass by and I had heard of it from other riders, but today was my first time on the Christmas bus. Garland running down each side and a faux-fireplace in the back, complete with gifts on the mantle. They have Christmas lights as well, but I think they irritated the bus a bit as its external signage is dead and the gps isn't picking up the bus.
Alas, without seeing the lights on, I have not experienced the true Christmas MAX. The pursuit continues.

They have been doing this on regular routes for at least the last two years, but--and I am hacked about this--I have never been on it. You'd think that by riding the bus almost every day I would've caught it one year or another, but NO. Last year I heard it was on the 56 route, but I *still* never got it.
I knew it was just one bus, so I feel fortunate for seeing it today. I missed the lights, but I'll feel lucky since one of the most prolific bus riders I know, you, has never been on it.
Perhaps we need to team up to track it and coordinate efforts. Such an exertion would probably result in a big let down, as it really isn't that special -- but kinda cool that they do something.
I purchased a wood stove wanted to save on the heating cost this year.my Wood Fireplace Mantel site related to everything about fire places and wood stoves. So save on the higher heating cost and burn some wood.Have a great day bye.

This spam is so funny in this context that I'm going to leave it. :-)
Ah, maybe the fireplace spam was good luck....I actually got the Christmas bus the other day! Finally!!! And it was at night, so the lights and fireplace were on, too. My life is now complete. ;>
I think surprise is one of the key elements in the delight (for me, at least): unexpected transit tinsel. You're right... I think tracking it would be kind of a disappointment.
Here's hoping you get it at night! The effect is more fun.
